British American Tobacco Chile has an exciting opportunity for a Security Manager in Santiago, Chile

Manage and lead the different security processes of BAT Chile according to internal policies and standards, local legal regulations, in order to protect people, assets and reputation of the business.

Reports to - Head of legal

Number of Direct Reports - 3

Geographic Scope - Local

Travel Required – In national territory for security reasons

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute security plans to meet the company's business objectives and ensure that security plans are reviewed on an ongoing basis, considering changes in business needs or directions.
  • Review, implement and maintain effective security policies, procedures and practices to ensure the safety and security of personnel, assets, information and operational activities of the business.
  • Plan and conduct security investigations, inquiries and reviews of security activities, SOBC (code of conduct) and complaints.
  • Coordinate risk and crisis management processes to ensure proactive assessment, planning and management of risk and crisis are conducted within the business.
  • Assist the Head of Market AIT to mitigate security risks to personnel and assets.
  • Provide timely security updates and advice to the Leadership Team on all matters related to security threats or business disruptions involving security issues.
  • Monitor the security situation and take proactive steps to minimize security risks to the business, which are commensurate with the multifaceted business and security environment.
  • Evaluate, plan and organize security providers. Monitor the efficiency of contractual services and review the scope of services.

What are we looking for?

  • Professional qualification from a police and/or military institution (Higher Academies of Police and Police Sciences) and formal qualification in security management.
  • At least 20 years' experience in a leadership/management position.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team.
  • In-depth and extensive knowledge of security management, with previous law enforcement and/or corporate security experience in the private sector.
  • Ability to identify and address key security issues to support strategic business needs.
  • Be able to foster and mobilize resources to acquire and gather details on all potential threats to the business.
  • Resolutive and proactive capacity.
  • Ability to work in a team. 
  • Professional qualification from a police institution (Higher Academies of Police Sciences or equivalent) and formal qualification in security management.
