British American Tobacco  Poland  has an exciting opportunity for a Lawyer  in Warsaw.

In this role you  will focus on providing ongoing legal advice in the field of labour law, civil law, commercial law and broadly understood economic law. You will also be responsible on drafting and reviewing contracts, regulations, procedures and policies while  daily cooperating  with other departments in order to ensure the functioning of the BAT in accordance with the regulations.

This is a contract  for the period of replacement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Advice on current matters of the Company, primarily in the field of labour law, civil law, competition law, economic law and commercial companies law.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, regulations, employee documentation and internal corporate documents, including policies and procedures and other documentation related to the Company's operations.
  • Preparing recommendations for business functions, supporting in negotiating contracts with contractors, making decisions and estimating risks within the assigned responsibilities.
  • Active, daily cooperation with employees of other departments of the Company in the scope of their business and project activities.
  • Supervision of correspondence handled by the Legal Department.
  • Current monitoring of changes in the law in the scope concerning the Company's activities.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in a similar position, i.e. in the practical application of law, gained in a law firm or in-house legal department of a company (in-house experience will be an additional advantage).
  • Master of Laws.
  • Good knowledge of labour law, civil law, company law and broadly understood economic law.
  • Experience in creating and reviewing contracts, regulations, procedures.
  • Orientation on advisory, taking into account both legal and business aspects.
  • Good communication skills, ability to build relationships and work in a team.
  • Demonstrates decisiveness, responsibility and ensures timely task completion.
  • Time management and task prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Polish Language allowing for free communication and work with documentation.
