British American Tobacco Costa Rica (BASS Americas) has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Finance Assistant Manager in Heredia
This role supports the Trade Finance team with in-depth analysis of Returns and NCL as well as lead the reporting and consolidation for the entire Trade Finance Area. The person will be responsible to reconcile, analyze and generate insights to support business strategic discussions. The role is expected to support analysis decisions that may impact BAT’s profit. This position requires ability to multi-task and set priorities as the person will be joining a fast-paced environment and a very dynamic team.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Report financial statement lines (P&L, B/S and CF) related to returns and support with reporting consolidation, OTIF, as per IBPM calendar.
- Lead Trade Finance internal calendar and key deliverables.
- Support monthly review meeting with analysis by product category and identify risks and opportunities to be presented to the end market Trade Finance Leadership team.
- Lead balance sheet and actual payments reconciliations to ensure the completeness of controls are in place.
- Guarantee SOX controls are executed and maintained.
- Provide inputs into monthly management deck to be shared with Trade Marketing teams across US. Update Power BI for Trade Marketing business partners monthly.
- Ensure ad-hoc requests are managed on time, respecting the set of priorities and business as usual (BAU) deliveries.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote commercial driven discussions as well as execute process optimizations, improving business performance.
- Help identify initiatives that have a business focus and are commercially viable.
What are we looking for?
- A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related area
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or related areas
- SAP ECC, BPC and Excel strong knowledge.Salesforce, Power BI and MicroStrategy knowledge are a plus
- Fluent in English
- Team player, collaborative with strong self-awareness to float through conversations at different levels of the organizational hierarchy with Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment and multi-tasking.
- Financial modelling based on large database including BPC Embedded pulls.
- Understand the impact of the accounting process and practice, how to process a manual Journal Entry (JVU) and be able to raise requests through workflow and e-flow.
- Experience with data analysis, finding common trends and deviations.
