British American Tobacco Mexicohas an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planning Analyst at Monterrey, Meixco.
This hybrid role within Growth Management bridges the gap between Finance and Marketing, delivering a unique perspective by aligning priorities and providing a single source of truth across the business. The Demand Planning Analyst plays a crucial role in developing accurate demand forecasts and transforming our current way of work into a faster, more agile, and data-driven mindset.
This involves automating existing Excel-based workflows, leveraging current capabilities, and improve end-to-end forecasting at the end market, area, and direct business unit levels. The role will support financial forecasting and demand planning process by analysing historical trends, market data, and business drivers. This cross-functional role will work closely with finance, operations, and marketing to ensure accurate demand projections that support strategic financial planning and decision-making.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Contribute to the development and standardization of S&OP meeting materials.
- Develop an advanced understanding of company data and data environments, focusing on key commercial metrics.
- Develop and implement demand forecasting models using statistical techniques, time series analysis, and predictive analytics using advanced analytical tools such as Python.
- Support the transformation of existing Excel-based forecasting processes into an automated, scalable system.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis to address specific business questions.
- Generate reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
- Proactively manage relationships with commercial managers and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on forecasts and plans.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Marketing, Business Analytics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in data analysis, statistical modelling, and forecasting techniques.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience using Excel.
- Familiarity with Python to perform data analysis and cleansing tasks as part of day-to-day work.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with database management systems (e.g., SQL) is a plus.
- Fluent English: Written and speaking. (Advanced)
- Very good communication, organizational, and prioritization skills.
