British American TobaccoRomania has an exciting opportunity for an Area Planning Specialist in Bucharest
The Area Planning Specialist will be responsible for supporting the identification and execution of automation and process simplification initiatives within the team. Will work closely with different functions to identify areas for improvement, assist in implementing automated solutions and streamline processes to drive efficiency.
The role is crucial in supporting the team’s efforts to reduce manual tasks and improve operational effectiveness.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Gather and consolidate data from all markets to ensure accurate and up-to-date information is reflected in the consolidation tool;
- Maintain, update and ensure the smooth operation of the consolidation tool, ensuring data integrity and consistent reporting;
- Provide detailed insights based on the consolidated data, identifying trends, gaps and areas for improvement;
- Assist in identifying and analysing opportunities for automation to streamline workflows and minimize manual efforts;
- Support the implementation of automation tools, including robotic process automation (RPA), POWER BI, AI systems and other relevant technologies;
- Help monitor and assess the effectiveness of automation solutions and provide recommendations for optimization;
- Work closely with colleagues within the team to understand their challenges and support the implementation of automation and process improvements;
- Assist in tracking the performance of automation projects and prepare reports of time savings, efficiency gains and other key metrics.
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Business Administrations, Engineering, IT;
- 2-5 years of experience in business analysis and/or data analysis;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), as well in Power BI tools;
- Understanding of data structures and how to manage, update and store data efficiently (basic SQL knowledge could be a plus);
- Experience or familiarity with process automation tools such RPA, AI, POWER BI or other workflow automation technologies;
- Basic understanding of process mapping and process simplification techniques (e.g., Lean Six Sigma);
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to assess processes and identify opportunities for improvement;
- Skilled at managing relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their data needs and effectively communicating findings;
- A proactive attitude and willingness to contribute to continuous improvement;
- Strong problem-solving abilities, with a focus on simplifying processes;
- Proficiency in both written and spoken English
