BAT has entered an exciting part of its transformation journey beyond nicotine with a new category Wellness & Stimulation. We have recently launched our first global Wellbeing brand called Ryde: from The Water Street Collective into the Wellness & Stimulation consumer product category. It’s now selling in the US, Canada and Australia. We are therefore creating and launching our first global Wellbeing brand, which is exciting!
Our launch campaign has helped land the brand. We now need to create brand love so we can grow our brand, therefore we need to take our brand creative content to the next level. That is why we want to create entertainment social content (rather than ads) that will be bold, disruptive & will stand out.
As part of the Ryde global brand team within TWSC, the Ryde: Global Social Intern will lead the development of an engaging global brand on Social – building a global social presence for our first and new Wellbeing brand, Ryde:, including the development of the brand social creative content for a unique global wellbeing brand that stands out, across social & influencer platforms.
The Ryde: Global Social Intern will manage our social global account @Drink.Ryde, which is our global handle on Instagram and TikTok. We have set two main objectives by end 2025; increase followership to at least 100,000 followers on our Instagram account / 50,000 followers on our TikTok account and improve engagement rate to 2% minimum.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Leading the Brand Social engagement model for Ryde: by building the global social presence for our first Wellbeing brand (key KPI – followers growth & content engagement growth).
- Landing the brand social focusing on our lead market, the US.
- Leading and inspiring our external influencers you will partner with, to ensure we create content, initiatives that engage our consumers on our Social platforms.
- Ensuring Social marketing activities are in line with TWSC culture and our International Marketing Principles and Social Media guidelines.
- Leading the content ideation and planning of Ryde: social calendar for Instagram and TikTok to land the brand content pillars.
- Managing the influencers / creators from scouting them leveraging influencers / creators specific platforms, briefing them, leading the contract to then guiding them in producing the finished social content.
- Creating brand social content leveraging our brand existing assets and AI design tool to create new ones.
- Leading the posting on Instagram and TikTok via the Sprout platform.
- Leading the brand reacting community management by responding to the different comments on @Drink.Ryde leveraging the brand tone of voice and personality.
- Managing the boosting of the best performing brand social content across our three markets and local media agencies (US, Canada and Australia).
- Leading the performance analysis of the brand social account based on the Sprout report and apply the key learning to the brand social strategy and content calendar.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in social media, influencer/creator are key to this role. Ideally, you have previously managed social media for a brand either in-house or from an agency.
- Creative expertise in both developing content concepts specific for social media and in developing social content leveraging common design software and/or AI design tools.
- Passionate about social media brand building; social media marketing including influencer/creator experience.
- Strong creative ability; strong empathy for others with great interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Possesses effective communication, briefing and presentation skills.
- Strong ability to analyse data and convert into learning and actions.
- Good judgement and strong decision-making ability.
- Proactive, Resilient, flexible, and confident to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Project management including some practical knowledge of “agile” .
- Graduate degree; certification / diploma(s) across digital/social marketing disciplines.
