BAT TURKEY IS LOOKING FOR AFINANCIAL ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT MANAGER!
Based in Istanbul and reporting to Financial Accounting Manager as part of the Corporate Finance Team the role will take a management position in Accounting and Corporate Finance processes, statutory reporting as well as for ensuring that the entity stays legal and tax compliant at all-time including the Company standards

Reporting Level: 4-5
Geographic Scope: Turkey
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Implements and coordinates processes to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) Requirements on a timely manner
- Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger and fixed assets.
- Performing and controlling month-end & year-end closing activities on timely manner
- Working closely with Shared Services Center (GBS) to accomplish daily/monthly tasks.
- Closely follow up EM KPIs and taking necessary actions for improvement
- Working in alignment with external auditors to conclude annual audit and file accounts to time
- Preparing and/or reviewing appropriate ledger entries and reconciliations
- Full review of accounts payable/receivable and intercompany positions to ensure no mismatches
- Monthly reporting and control of local ledger, full pack reporting at fast close and year end and production of reporting schedule evidence that accurately ties and supports entries to Group reported numbers across all entities
- Preparation and review of impairment exercises with respect to Company investments in group subsidiaries and other investments held at fair value
- Liaise between Accounting and Corporate Finance to ensure timely and correct Group Financial Reporting.
- Managing statutory recharge process to ensure entities report the correct statutory level profit e.g. trademarks
- Completion of statutory returns on time and accurately
- Other ad-hoc tasks as requested by Head of Finance
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- People Management Experience is an asset
- SAP Modules experiences and advanced Excel knowledge
- Degree educated with professional accountancy qualification is an asset (i.e. SMMM, /ACCA/CIMA)
- Relevant experience in a similar role or audit firm background
- A good understanding of group and corporate finance principles/experience and ability
- Resilience and strong prioritization skills
- Ability to identify process and reporting improvements and proactively implement solutions
- Ability to work as an effective Business Partner with a collaborative and flexible style, due to various functions involvement
- Strong communication and inter-personal skills are required to influence and challenge
- Maintains excellent working relationships with all stakeholders and is a great teammate
- Very good command of English language skills on both written and spoken.
