ROLE PROFILE

JOB TITLE: Demand Forecasting Regional Lead

FUNCTION: DBS – B2C

SUB FUNCTION: Forecasting & Planning

CITY & COUNTRY: Selangor / Kuala Lumpur

ACCOUNTABILITIES

key objectives and expectations from this role:

  1. Setting up a winning GBS Demand Forecasting team to deliver end-to-end transformative change for the APMEA region:
  • Set the strategic direction of GBS Demand Forecasting hub in alignment with the Global Supply Network and Operations (SNO) agenda and vision.
  • Understand current state and required change management to deliver best practices recommendations and Global process adherence.
  • Lead the implementation of RACIs aligned with the commercial teams

  1. Lead theservice delivery of GBS Regional Demand Forecasting Capability across 2 hubs (Malaysia and Pakistan) for the scope of Demand Forecasting as a Service in GBS
  • Lead the service delivery of Demand Forecasting for in-scope markets aligned with monthly demand planning & CoPlan process working closely in collaboration with cross-functional teams in the end markets, Cluster & DRBU as per OLA.
  • Management and oversight of BAU Demand Forecasting activities including Baseline Forecast Construction, Incorporation of Soft and Causal Intelligence, IAS Forecast Alignments, DFA analysis, review and recommendation to drive loss elimination and deliver commercial benefits.
  • Lead Demand Forecasting Community of Practice, supporting the deployment of Management Information and tools supporting Demand Forecasting.

  1. Co-Create & Lead the delivery of E2E demand planning capabilities, working closely in collaboration with planning teams & Global DF CoE leads: 

  1. Be a role model for the BAT Ethos and WoW:
  • Lead this transition to deliver the simplification and transformation agenda for APMEA region.
  • Building strong and positive team relationships across EM, Clusters and DRBU with focus on high standard of delivery and value-added business partnering. 

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • 8-10 years of work experience with prior demand forecasting and planning experience. Experience in application and usage of Demand Forecasting tools (i.e Kinaxis), insights and supply planning is a powerful addition.
  • Proficiency/advanced level excel and power point skills.
  • 2-3 years of work experience as demand planning analyst/ reporting specialist preferably having done area roles
  • Fluency in English (good verbal and written communication skills)

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Demand Forecasting techniques including experience in application and usage of Demand Forecasting tools (i.e Kinaxis), insights and supply planning is a powerful addition.
  • Demand Forecasting loss analytics (FVA, DFA and loss elimination calculations) and reporting to identify commercial improvement opportunities for the business.
  • Continuous Improvement initiatives in Supply Chain and Demand Planning
  • Manage people and process changes including recruitment, coaching and performance management of direct reports and extended team.
  • Capacity and Resource planning - Ensure that sufficient structure and resources are in place.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Comprehensive understanding of the end to end processes for Demand Forecasting and Demand Planning, IBPM / SOP Cycle management, Supply Chain, Product Lifecycle Management and New Product Introduction
  • Excellent communication, people management and change management skills as well as ability to manage relationships professionally.
