British American Tobacco Romaniahas an exciting opportunity for an Area Finance Manager BP in Bucharest.
Based in Bucharest and reporting to the Senior Finance Manager Business Partner as part of the Nicoventures Finance Team, Area Finance Manager Business Partner is required to report and control the results of Nicoventures Trading Limited (NVT).
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Deliver MOPE reporting and actuals across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow at profit centre level, providing robust analysis and commentary while meeting IBPM timelines.
- Manage third-party distributor models, including contract setup and review, risk assessments, pricing structures, performance monitoring, and credit exposure management. Build and maintain marketing expense processes, ensuring accurate tracking and payment of performance incentives
- Ensure strong governance by working closely with end markets to ensure adherence to the NVT SODA requirements, reviewing board materials, and validating the financial impact of key commercial decisions.
- Supervise and control NC P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow for assigned markets, ensuring that market charges align with distribution, marketing, and service activities, including internal and external purchase orders.
- Support markets and key partners with ad-hoc financial queries, operational issues, audits, and implementation of NC projects impacting NVT (supply chain initiatives, new launches etc).
- Dealing with ad-hoc queries per market – questions related to financials, shipment issues, urgent NPIs, system failures, etc.
- Support LRD and licensed market models, including financial assessments, contract reviews, adherence to NVT SODA and board reporting/documentation. Including set up of new category launches – including system set up , agreements, governance etc
- Drive forecasting accuracy and performance monitoring, ensuring alignment across key collaborators (including corporate tax, functions, and end markets), enhancing reporting efficiency, and developing team capability.
What are we looking for?
- Degree educated with a professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA preferred) and at least 5 years’ proven experience
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and corporate tax (particularly transfer pricing) principles with the ability to provide commercial insights
- Proven ability to manage large volumes of data and presenting in a simple and impactful way using systems to simplify and automate information management.
- Highly organised, resilient, and able to prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive in identifying process and reporting improvements and implementing efficient solutions
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work independently with stakeholders across a wide range of locations and markets.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and business partnering skills, with a collaborative attitude and advanced English proficiency
