British American Tobacco Nigeria has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Finance Manager in Ibadan.

The Senior Commercial Finance Manager supports the Operations Finance Controller by delivering timely, accurate, and insightful financial and management information across Supply Chain activities and related initiatives. The role enables informed decision-making and supports the preparation and execution of effective business plans.
Nigeria is part of SSA Operations and is structured around strategic factories that supply finished products to Commercial units across the region. In this context, the Senior Commercial Finance Manager plays a key role in supporting strategic business delivery within Supply Chain.
The role is expected to drive cost-base optimisation and working capital efficiency, with particular focus on product cost, foreign exchange management, resource allocation, and inventory optimisation across the cluster.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Provide timely and accurate financial management information relating to export transfer selling prices, source-change benefits, transfer prices, and other relevant export finance matters for collaborators in Ibadan, Lagos, the Region, and SSA.
- Prepare robust forecasts of potential benefits from Supply Chain initiatives, product complexity reduction, direct-cost opportunities, and global, regional, or local programmes aimed at reducing product cost and working capital.
- Develop forecasts for F&SV and capital expenditure for Operations Head Office, Supply Chain, and Product Development during CoPlan and QPR cycles.
- Prepare accurate monthly cash-flow forecasts for imported and local direct materials, including Leaf and wrapping materials, and monitor actual cash flow against forecast.
- Deliver monthly variance analysis against CoPlan and latest QPR, share insights through management reports and review sessions, and follow up on corrective actions where required.
- Partner with the Operations Finance Manager and Supply Chain team on the financial aspects of export initiatives on an ongoing basis.
- Support the implementation of new systems, controls, and procedures while maintaining awareness of Group Operations strategy.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelors ‘Degree in Finance
- 10 years’ experience at a managerial level, working across different departments
- Experience within FMCG industry
- Professional Accounting Certification
- Experience in leading a team
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, open-minded approach, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities,
- Proven senior leadership capabilities, results-driven mindset, and a proactive commitment to driving initiatives and continuous improvement.
- SAP knowledge – added advantage
