British American Tobacco Italy has an exciting opportunity for a RSPP - Operations Sustainability Manager in Trieste
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for 100% Compliance by developing in process measures and monitoring output measures by following Legal & EU Law (Labor, Safety, Excise, Environmental) and BAT Global Operating Model standards.
- Ensures safety condition and environmental protection in case of any risk visible by taking a LT Trieste Member role.
- Developing short term, mid-term and long-term mitigation plans; actively supervising with follow-up mechanisms in place, and strategy for relevant department.
- Responsible for implementation of IWS(continuous improvement) in the responsible function area and entire factory and adherence to standards by following continuous loss analysis, benchmarking and zero loss journey to define current, future, and ideal states.
- Provides clear direction for developing safety, 5S and 100% compliance culture as 1st priority at responsible area but also factory in general; by creating, developing and promoting at all levels.
- Responsible for people development plans, performance objectives cascading to teams supporting factory SDDS, succession plans to support talent pipeline following by Skill Matrix and SUC’s qualification.
- Waste Management: Coordinating accurate disposal and management of hazardous and non-hazardous waste by complying EU & Local Laws of environmental and excise purposes.
- Evaluate the performance of the Production Area, identify and drive improvement for Line Structure to deliver results.
- Lead internal and external EHS audits and ensure readiness for regulatory inspections and corporate audits, driving closure of findings and continuous compliance improvement.
- Lead the development and deployment of the site’s risk management strategy, ensuring systematic identification, evaluation and mitigation of operational, environmental and safety risks.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- RSPP certifications such CSE, or equivalent are a must Proven experience in EHS roles in various factory conditions.
- Minimum 6 years of proven experience in RSPP roles, leading teams
- Proficiency in English, with strong written and verbal communication skills and native Italian
- In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal EHS regulations and standards.
- Proficiency in using EHS management software and tools.
- Experience in incident investigation and root cause analysis.
- Leadership skills to influence and drive a culture of safety.
- Experience in emergency response and crisis management
