To support this journey, British American Tobacco is looking for an experienced professional to join our Central Europe Data, Analytics & AI Team. This role goes far beyond traditional reporting - you will act as a trusted analytics partner to the business, helping translate complex challenges into actionable insights and scalable data and AI solutions.

Your key responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a trusted Analytics, Automation & AI partner for business collaborators, translating business priorities and challenges into clear, impactful analytical solutions
- Identifying, shaping and supporting a use cases that deliver measurable business impact, while promoting awareness of modern data and AI capabilities across the organization
- Gathering, structuring and validating business requirements, ensuring strong alignment between business needs and technical delivery
- Designing and delivering analytical solutions and insights that enable data-driven decision-making at both operational and management levels
- Coordinating cross-functional efforts, tracking progress, managing dependencies and ensuring deliverables meet business objectives and compliance standards
- Working closely with data engineering and platform teams to ensure data quality, availability and reliability across analytics solutions
- Supporting the adoption of modern analytics and AI through guidelines, enablement sessions and advisory support, fostering a culture of innovation
- Managing multiple initiatives in parallel, ensuring clear prioritization, transparent communication and alignment with broader strategic objectives
What are we looking for?
- A data professional with a business focus and solid experience in data analytics, ideally in a complex or international environment
- Strong hands-on expertise in technology - SQL and Power BI are essential; experience with modern data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Azure cloud services, automation (Power Suite) and AI tools is a strong advantage
- Good understanding of data warehousing, analytics and AI concepts, with the ability to contribute confidently to architecture discussions
- Proven ability to structure ambiguous business problems and translate them into clear analytical questions and requirements
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics in a clear, concise and business-relevant way
- Confidence and credibility when working with both technical and non-technical participants, including senior business leaders
- A proactive, pragmatic attitude with a willingness to take end-to-end ownership — from problem definition to insight delivery
- Full professional proficiency in English; German is an advantage
