British American Tobacco United Kingdomhas an exciting opportunity for a Senior Corporate Finance Manager – CP&A Management Reporting in London
The Senior Corporate Finance Manager will lead management reporting developments from accounting and business process perspective and support Global collaborators to deliver periodic forecasting and actuals reporting.
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Assess potential implications and provide solutions for changing accounting standards and regulatory requirements to ensure Group management reporting are timely and accurate.
- Responsible for review and impact assessment of assigned accounting /regulatory developments, preparing proposals on adoption considering business process implications, important metric implications and clearly articulating risks and mitigations of proposals.
- Leading business process review/crafting new business processes to support changes in regulatory development with clear consideration of controls, SOx, IT system and customer management.
- Partner management and education of key functions including Regions, DRBUs, End Markets, Tax, Treasury, Investor Relations, Business Controls, and the Business Optimisation Centre.
- Review of reporting output and working with global stakeholders to improve reporting quality, compliance and understanding.
- Co-ordination and preparation of Global planning and management reporting guidelines.
- Act as a subject matter expert (“SME”) on for BAT’s periodic forecast and actuals management reporting.
What are we looking for?
Education/Qualifications
- Professional financial qualification with at least 5 years post qualification experience
Technical/functional and leadership
- IFRS and US GAAP strongly preferred
- Financial planning and reporting experience.
- Experience of implementing changes in accounting standards or regulations within a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment preferred.
- An understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems to include SAP and BPC.
- Effective working relationships across multiple stakeholders – including non finance.
- Ability to work under pressure, keep to tight deadlines and be motivated to deal with ambiguity.
- Experience with Power BI and or other dashboarding tools would be beneficial
