British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for an EXPORT COORDINATOR – FIXED TERM in Southampton
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
To ensure that all requested products and/or materials are imported / exported from / to requested destination in a timely manner and that all relevant regulatory, compliance and company policies are adhered to
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
Ensures that all export documentation is accurately completed, and all relevant processes are followed in supporting relevant Regulatory Licence Applications and Clinical Studies/Assessments and in ensuring continued compliance with our site HMR&C license.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Ensures that all products and/or materials are imported / exported from / to requested destination as per the requests of the project teams
- Task is achieved by thorough understanding of the requirements of Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), import / export and internal procedures and customer requirements concerning the movement of tobacco and related materials.
- Ability to develop appropriate solutions/approaches in identifying and resolving problems.
- Recognized proficiency in some regulations and procedures concerning the movement of tobacco and related materials.
- Continual Improvement: support the development of new working procedures, methods or working practices for management approval as a result of a problem or challenges defined by management, guidance from Technical Specialists is available.
- Support/contribute to the generation of external reports and audit records/findings, publications and presentations.
What are we looking for?
Experience Required
- Previous experience working within exports or logistics of highly regulated products.
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- Effective communicator - able to engage effectively at all levels, with a flexible communication style which can be adapted to suit the audience.
- Problem-solver - tenacious and will use creativity, innovation and an analytical approach to exhaust all options until a satisfactory solution is found.
- Good planning skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work in team environment and under time constraints
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Professional/academic achievement in a relevant subject area up to 1st degree level or equivalent.
BENEFICIAL
- Membership of a relevant professional body is desirable.
- Recognized Dangerous Goods license beneficial, but not essential
