British American Tobacco UK has an exciting opportunity for a Senior PDM Manager – BAU & System Specialist in Southampton
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
To provide business as usual direction for Teamcenter users and PDM team members. Leading initiatives and encouraging strong collaborative relationships with key internal collaborators.
To assist the development of Teamcenter and its user base with regards to the continuous improvement programs, liaising / handling the super user community, building on the system roadmap, connecting existing systems, and replacing legacy ones.
Driving the transformation of data within Teamcenter using TcRA, ensuring structured and significant data management. Supporting and developing intuitive dashboards and reports that deliver targeted, real-time insights to end users on key data metrics.
Facilitating seamless PLM link-up to enable end-to-end visibility and traceability across systems.
A key objective is to ensure that critical indicators are consistently met to maintain high Teamcenter usage. This includes effective triage of project and user requests, embedding standard methodologies across the user base, delivering targeted training on new features, and ensuring day-to-day administration is well-organised and completed promptly.
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organisation?
To provide an outstanding BAU management of the Teamcenter system, driving improvements through collaborations with the Teamcenter community, and supporting key aspects of the system.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support and drive user adoption through training, documentation and customer engagement.
- Organise and lead frequent audits to ensure the Teamcenter userbase is accurate.
- Engage with internal collaborators to support and encourage guidelines and identify suitable and realistic enhancements.
- Understand Teamcenter architecture to be able to make minor alterations such as basic style sheets changes.
- Support and drive the use of Teamcenter Reporting Analytics (TcRA) and lead the development of reports for internal collaborators.
- Provide level 1 support to users-reviewing repeat issues with colleagues to minimise/resolve them in the future
- Manage system access, projects, permissions and licence allocation effectively.
- Work closely with wider PDM team to ensure joined up thinking and development of the systems.
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience (ideally certified / qualified) in data model (BMide), Rich Client for Admin, TCRA & System Admin as a minimum, plus ability to demonstrate or describe its usage and application.
- Recent experience in BAU Management of a large software system, located in multiple sites / countries. Demonstrate the process in driving improvements and enhancements, working with the user base, and the day-to-day system running and reporting.
- Practical knowledge of the user and projects setup within Teamcenter, and how this relates to the Teamcenter ACL tree, alongside the ability to develop and lead users, groups & projects when needed.
- Shows evidence of an understanding of how Teamcenter works, how to request, document and perform system changes, and working with external partners and to drive forward system development
- To bring together key business teams, DBS & PDM CoE, plus external partners (Siemens, Emixa, ITC) in driving the system performance, usage and adoption forward.
- In depth understanding of TCRA, Teamcenter Reporting, and applying the knowledge and the understanding of the BAT business functions, to deliver and maintain a world class dashboard & reporting tool, that links to the BAT PLM process, as well as relevant, qualified Teamcenter experience in Rich Client, BMide & Data Model and System administration
- Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Relevant Subject, as well as Siemens Certified Engineer for Teamcenter (must be current), covering Version 24.XX or later.
- Teamcenter experience and training record for TCRA & Product Configurator, Teamcenter experience and training record for Rich Client and BMide, as well asADO user qualification
