REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Technician II/ PMD Electronic Technicianin Winston-Salem

Review own coming shift, contact lead on that shift you are leaving, problem, concerns, break downs, review who is onsite or vacation, sick leave. Gate suite review task for the days, what needs to be calibrated. Coordinate with other tech who is doing what that day, assistance with issue with concerns, interface with the HM in the concerns, part numbers needed, filter interact with hi most day eyes in the floor. Stay on top of plan and schedule, waybills, emissions included and check on that, make sure the instruments meters are in calibration, analytical equipment is up to calibration and not allow to expire.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Install, test, calibrate, repair, and modify various types of electrical/electronic controls for high speed cigarette manufacturing, tobacco processing and flexible manufacturing equipment.
  • Support Allen-Bradley, Siemens and other PLC systems.
  • Support Profibus, ControlNet, and Ethernet data communication systems.
  • Troubleshoot variable frequency and DC motor drive systems.
  • Install, calibrate and repair high speed camera quality control systems.
  • Work from various vendor provided schematics.
  • Use common electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Troubleshoot to determine root cause of equipment failure and perform corrective maintenance accordingly.
  • Install, calibrate and repair multi-axis robotic systems.
  • Performs assigned technical duties, administrative duties, monitors performance and fills in for maintenance supervision as required.
  • Provide technical solutions, leadership, and support for Area personnel.
  • Provide technical support for Primary processing and DIET production and maintenance personnel. This includes equipment troubleshooting and preventive maintenance follow up.
  • Perform procedures and work assignments in keeping with company policy, safety, IWS, and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
  • Attend and participate in job related and management directed meetings, including meetings with equipment vendors and others related to equipment and/or processes used in the Primary or Tobacco Processing production areas.
  • Assumes responsibility for auditing production quality standards with respect to electrical design, protection of capital investment, machine standardization, and proper machine functions.
  • Must be able to work any shift.

What are we looking for?

  • A.A.S. in Electronics Engineering Technology; or A.A.S. in Instrument and Control Automation Technology; or A.A.S Mechatronics Engineering Technology; or A.A.S degree in a related field; or Military equivalent.
  • WorkKeys: Reading for Information or Workplace Documents @ Level 6; Applied Math @ Level 5; Graphic Literacy @ Level 4; Workplace Observation @ Level 3; Applied Technology @ Level 5.
  • Experience in leadership roles, shift lead, team lead, supervision
  • Experience with ABB drives, valves, weigh scales, Arc Flash, flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, operation of mechanical drives, DC motors and drives
  • Experience with  Microsoft Office, Excel software(s) PLC, SAP, Blue Mountain,

Wage Information

  • Bonus Target: 7% percent
