The Regrader/Blender reports to Senior Manager of Leaf Utilization and is responsible for helping to ensure effective execution of the daily operations of Leaf Utilization in the Stemmery.   

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Ensure consistency of all RAI Operating Company (OpCo) domestic and third party customer blends.
• Assist in developing green blends for OpCo and third party customers.
• Monitor OpCo and third party customer stemmery production runs.
• Act as liaison with third party stemmery service providers.
• Oversee the receiving of purchased green leaf
• Maintain proper blend components for re-dried grades
• Communicate daily objectives to factory personnel
• Ensure proper grading and utilization of tobacco in order to achieve uniformity and consistency in the finished re-dried product

What are we looking for?

Education:  High School Diploma or equivalent and 8+ years relevant progressive work experience.

Experience:  Minimum 8 years relevant experience in domestic leaf tobacco

Required Skills: 

• Extensive knowledge of domestic Flue-Cured, Burley, Dark Aired Cured and Dark Fired tobacco
• Extensive knowledge of the RJRT, SFNTC and ASC Internal grading system

Preferred Skills: Prior leaf buying, regrading and/or stemmery experience.

Physical Requirements: Standing and walking for long periods of time
