ROLE SUMMARY
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
- Deliver reliable, secure and compliant technology operations for Manufacturing and Supply Chain.
- Act as the business-facing owner for assigned digital products, translating operational priorities into practical technology requirement and delivery plans.
- Identify and deliver scalable opportunities digital operation including automation and innovation technology such as AI/ML that improve productivity, quality, service and sustainability.
- Drive and design Digital Infrastructure and Integration technology and align it with global infrastructure team.
- Coordinate business stakeholders, global product teams and external partners to deliver measurable benefits and strong user adoption.

ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Product ownership and roadmap delivery
Act as Product Manager for assigned IDT operations products and applications, translating Manufacturing and Supply Chain priorities into backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, release plans and measurable business outcomes.
- IT operations and service reliability
Working together with IDT Support team to define day-to-day operational performance for assigned applications, platforms and digital services to IT support team that supporting incident, support request, continuity and lifecycle activities to minimize business disruption and sustain reliable factory operations. Leading the coordination of request change or anything that requires more deeper analysis from support team.
- Business analysis and requirements management
Partner with Operations stakeholders to identify pain points, define requirements, assess value, document process and system impacts, and convert opportunities into clear business cases, functional specifications and delivery plans.
- Digital transformation and innovation delivery
Evaluate and deliver practical digital use cases across GenAI, agentic AI, Power Platform, MES, SCADA, IoT, automation, shopfloor mobility, reporting and integration to improve productivity, quality, service, compliance and sustainability.
- Understanding of data and analytics capability
Maintain sufficient understanding of data and analytics capabilities, including operational reporting, KPI design, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, SQL and equivalent platforms, to advise business stakeholders on realistic opportunities, requirements, solution fit and value potential in partnership with Data & Analytics teams.
- Application infrastructure and technology design
Understand and contribute to application infrastructure design, including network architecture, hosting and server technologies, cloud services, integration patterns, resilience, scalability and equivalent platform considerations required to support secure and reliable digital operations.
- Project, supplier and delivery management
Lead small to medium initiatives independently and support larger regional team by managing scope, schedule, cost, risks, resources, suppliers, quality, testing, deployment and transition to support.
- Cybersecurity, controls and compliance
Embed cybersecurity, privacy, access governance, segregation of duties, audit evidence, SOX/control requirements and technology risk management throughout the product and service lifecycle.
- Stakeholder engagement, adoption and change
Build trusted relationships with local, regional and global stakeholders, communicate priorities and risks clearly, facilitate decisions, coordinate training and drive sustainable adoption of new digital ways of working.
- Value realization and continuous improvement
Define success measures, track benefits, monitor adoption, capture lessons learned and contribute reusable practices across BAT to continuously improve IDT operations capability and business value.
EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- 4-6 years’ experience in IT operations, digital technology, product ownership, business analysis or technology delivery, preferably within Manufacturing, Supply Chain, FMCG or another complex operational environment.
- Proven experience supporting business-critical applications, operational technology interfaces, infrastructure services or digital products in a regional or multi-site environment, with sufficient exposure to data and analytics capabilities to advise business stakeholders on opportunities, requirements and solution fit.
- Experience working in at least one of the following roles : Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, Scrum Master, Project Manager also working closely with infrastructure, architect, cyber team and supplier engagement role.
- Demonstrated ability to manage requirements, stakeholder priorities, releases, incidents, risks, change impacts and adoption activities across local, regional and global teams.
- Experience supporting or coordinating application infrastructure design activities, including network connectivity, hosting options, server technology, cloud services, integration requirements, resilience and scalability considerations for business-critical applications.
- Experience delivers one of the Digital Operation Technology project such as Quality Platform, MES, SCADA, and SAP PP/MM/QM/WM. Experienced in more than one of platform would be appreciated
Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required
- [Product / Business] Able to define product vision, backlog, user stories, acceptance criteria, prioritization logic, release plans and benefit measures.
- [IT Operations] Strong understanding of IT project management, service management, lifecycle, continuity and vendor management processes.
- [Application Infrastructure & Technology Design] Working understanding of network design, infrastructure design, server technology, cloud services, middleware, integration architecture, resilience, scalability and environment management for application delivery and operations.
- [Digital Manufacturing] Working knowledge in one of Manufacturing and Supply Chain technology such as SAP one of PP/MM/QM/WM module, MES, SCADA, IoT, shopfloor systems, integration platforms, reporting tools and automation solutions.
- [Data & Analytics] Understanding in data such as Power BI, Fabric, SQL, and query. Having practical capability would be appreciated.
- [Emerging Technology] Awareness of GenAI, agentic AI, machine learning, low-code/no-code platforms, workflow automation and their practical application in operations. Having practical capability would be appreciated.
- [Cybersecurity & Controls] Good understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, segregation of duties, privacy, audit evidence, control requirements and technology risk management.
- [Delivery] Capable of managing small to medium projects using Agile, hybrid or waterfall methods, including scope, risk, testing, deployment, communications and transition to support.
- [Leadership] Strong stakeholder management, communication, influencing, problem-solving and facilitation skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for business and technical audiences
Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Information Systems or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications are desirable, such as ITIL Foundation, Agile/Scrum Product Owner, PMP/Prince2, Microsoft Power Platform, Azure Fundamentals, Cybersecurity Fundamentals or Data Analytics certification.
- Fluent business English with the ability to work effectively across local, regional and global teams; local language capability is an advantage where required by site operations
