ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?  

Work in partnership with the business to:

  • Translate strategies into plans and budgets, providing commercial insights relating to future performance
  • Handle and give to the provision of structured and insightful analysis of financial data in order to influence and enable strategic financial decisions

 What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?

 Core Relationships

Internal

  • Business division managers: Credible and strong working relationship. Act as trusted business partners
  • Financial Control: Collaborate to provide end-to-end finance delivery for end-market
  •  Collaborate closely with across functions to provide high-quality, timely management information to the business

External

  • External Service Providers (e.g. Suppliers/Agencies, etc.): Maintain external relationship

ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Support and coordinates activities to provide valuable, commercial insights to the business plan
  • Supervises the execution of strategy through
  • Provision of high-quality financial information and advice to business divisions
  • Identifies, implements, and reviews effective internal financial planning processes and controls
  • Sharing insightful financial analysis showing the financial implications of decisions and helping the business divisons get approval for commercially viable cases, budgets and investment proposals
  • Build strong financial and commercial awareness within business divisions and challenge business partners to improve performance
  • Defines and implements standard process planning and control techniques in line with business needs
  • Acts as an interface between business divisons and finance functions as required

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

Experience Required

  • 4-6 years’ experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Experience dealing with external partners
  • Broad experience in large global organisation with in-depth knowledge in specific FMCG process areas

 Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Detailed understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/HFM/BI/BCP
  • Strong influencing, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance metrics, project evaluation and commercial acumen
  • Ability to simplify sophisticated situations and synthesise, communicate, and present sophisticated information
  • Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, collaborative, and consultative

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • A degree educated with professional qualification (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)
