REYNOLDS AMERICAN has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Director – Business Intelligence in Winston-Salem, NC.
The role is responsible for business partnering with a cross-functional team to provide strategic financial guidance on key competitors' performance in the market. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to, overseeing financial forecasts, including strategic and commercial assessments, industry value projections, regulatory impacts to the category, and wargaming. The ideal candidate will proactively and collaboratively work across the organization to develop a competitor framework that can effectively be used as a platform to provide insights on key competitors in the market and drive recommendations on potential courses of action. This role will provide a great platform for personal growth and a great opportunity for growth within the function.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Serve the company as a key Strategy and Planning Team member with a keen understanding of the industry and an articulated strategy for key competitors
- Develop competitive and market assessments to understand market dynamics and trends and disseminate key findings to executive leaders and other stakeholders across the company.
- Collaborate with other functions to synthesize internal and external information, analytics, and data to arrive at value-added conclusions.
- Present regularly in-depth analyses and summaries of results, interpreting and communicating (financial) results with recommendations to key stakeholders.
- Maintain knowledge of key competitor’s commercial and corporate activities and broader market dynamics that frame the
business context, both present and future
- Assess the financial implications of regulatory changes for our competitors and their expected response to these external threats holistically.
- Driving ad-hoc projects as required.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year institution in business, finance, or a relevant discipline
- 7+ years of experience in Finance, Consulting, Commercial Planning, or Strategic Forecasting
- High attention to detail & possesses an inquisitive nature
- Demonstrated ability to understand broader business issues and seek resolution.
- Ability to synthesize multiple information/data sources, including but not limited to commercial, consumer, and macroeconomic trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable developing and delivering presentations utilizing data and insights.
- Advanced Microsoft Office and presentations-power point skills required
- Responsive, enthusiastic, and team oriented.
- Masters of Business Administration preferred
