The Global Process Expert for Hire to Retire (H2R) leverages extensive process and leadership expertise to design optimal global processes and operating models.
This role drives transformation initiatives to improve processes, contributing to BAT's strategic agenda. As an acknowledged expert, the incumbent provides business process leadership and influences continuous improvement and process adherence.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Identify and lead continuous improvement opportunities, redesigning global HR processes within the allocated area or cross-functionally, coordinating global process improvement forums to drive alignment, decision-making and adherence to agreed solutions, while challenging the status quo and current ways of working.
- Manage global, regional and local system and process changes, ensuring appropriate governance and controls, while collaborating with IDT representatives, HR Technology and project teams to design and implement system changes and new tools.
- Build and articulate business cases using process and data analytics, propose, benchmark and evaluate key performance metrics to measure process performance and business impact, and benchmark internal processes against best practices to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Drive project portfolio prioritization and delivery through effective planning, resourcing and risk mitigation, while securing project funding, monitoring and reporting spend, and ensuring positive business case closure.
- Partner with Enterprise Master Data and Data Strategy to drive data quality improvements, while researching new tools and best practices to support continuous improvement and recommending relevant changes to organizational design and operating models.
- Demonstrate leadership through behaviours and attitudes aligned with the BAT Ethos, including people leadership through performance appraisals and development plans, providing guidance to team members, identifying development needs and helping individuals strengthen their contribution.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, customer service, collaboration and shared accountability, helping the team remain focused on common goals and fostering strong teamwork and cross-functional knowledge and best-practice sharing.
- Maintain close working relationships with Functional CoE teams, Functional DBS teams, GPO and other stakeholders, providing valuable insights, enabling productive decision-making conversations and communicating effectively across all channels.
What are we looking for?
- Proven HR expertise across one or more areas including Employee Services, Payroll, Time & Attendance, HR Analytics & Insights, Organizational Effectiveness, and Talent & Performance, gained within a multinational environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in process design, modelling, reengineering or HR process improvement, with a strong understanding of continuous improvement frameworks, methodologies and tools.
- Strong understanding of HR technology, including HCM platforms, combined with practical experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, either directly or through delegates.
- Experience working within a multinational matrix organization, with the ability to navigate complex structures and collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
- Ability to develop and communicate clear strategies and action plans, supported by strong business acumen, a solution-oriented mindset, innovative thinking and a strong drive for results.
- Strong team leadership, influencing and change management skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders and support effective implementation of change.
- Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience, combined with excellent English language skills (Level C).
- Project experience with Lean Six Sigma (LSS) or other project management methodologies would be beneficial.
