British American Tobacco Fiji has an exciting opportunity for Trade Marketing Representative in Honiara
Role Positioning and Objectives
The TMR is responsible for the successful management and implementation of company strategies, inclusive of cycle objectives in nominated accounts across a defined territory through utilisation of their business acumen, strategic planning capability, passion and energy for success.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Act as the key contact for external partners, engaging in commercial discussions and negotiations while building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial business relationships.
- Drive share and profit growth across your territory/patch while effectively managing volume and identifying new business opportunities for SITCo products.
- Plan and implement cycle activities, local area marketing, and territory plans to ensure successful strategy and campaign execution at store level.
- Educate retailers on industry trends, product knowledge, category relevance, and trading terms to strengthen category presence and brand impact.
- Apply category management principles to optimize brand visibility and performance in-store.
- Collaborate effectively with internal partners to align execution and ensure consistent delivery.
- Meet and exceed performance targets while continuously developing skills to adapt to a dynamic industry and regulatory landscape.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG or in a Trade Marketing Representative (TMR) or similar role.
- Tertiary qualification in Marketing, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in managing marketing financials and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability in relationship management.
- Skilled in asset, resource, and budget management.
- Effective prioritization and risk management capabilities.
- A valid driver’s license is highly preferred.
