ROLE SUMMARY
The Project Finance SME is a pivotal member of the transformation team, responsible for ensuring that all finance-related requirements, controls, and compliance needs are embedded in the design, testing, and deployment of SAP S/4HANA pre-requisite projects, and any other business transformation initiatives. The role acts as the business expert for finance, bridging the gap between project, business, and technical teams, and ensuring a smooth transition to future-ready finance operations. This role is critical to enabling robust, compliant, and scalable finance processes, supporting business continuity and strategic scalability during and after transformation.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead finance process definition and requirements for transformation initiatives, including LE closure, data migration, financial reconciliation.
- Own finance scope in project design, ensuring compliance, audit readiness, and operational feasibility; drive E2E testing execution for finance processes, including master data, reporting, and controls.
- Coordinate business readiness activities: training, standard operating procedure updates, partner engagement, and change management for finance teams.
- Develop and validate business continuity plans for finance operations during system migration and legal entities transformation.
- Ensure all statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements are embedded in solution design and reporting.
- Support cutover and hypercare phases, ensuring finance processes are stable and compliant post-go-live.
- Identify and mitigate finance risks, ensuring audit readiness and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with external partners (SAP, audit, legal) to ensure seamless integration and operational handover and contribute to benefit realisation and key performance indicator tracking for finance transformation outcomes.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 3 years in finance, accounting, or related project roles within large-scale ERP transformations.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance modules (FI, CO, Asset Accounting, Group Reporting).
- Proven track record in legal entity closure, financial data migration, and audit preparation.
- Strong understanding of compliance, audit, and regulatory requirements in finance.
- Experience in E2E testing execution, integrations, and business readiness activities.
- Cross-functional collaboration with internal and external partners.
- Risk management and business continuity planning for finance operations.
