British American Tobacco Mexicohas an exciting opportunity for a Facilities & Utilities Managerin Monterrey
Manage, coordinate, and ensure the efficient, safe, and sustainable operation of the plant’s Utilities and Facilities systems, guaranteeing the continuity of critical services, the maintenance of infrastructure, and compliance with the operational requirements of the production process. The role integrates the technical, administrative, and financial management of Utilities and Facilities, aligning maintenance strategies, projects, and resource‑saving initiatives with business objectives and the corporate policies on Quality, EHS, Energy, and CO₂.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the predictive, preventive, and corrective operation and maintenance programs for Utilities and Facilities.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and efficiency of plant services and infrastructure.
- Preserve assets through effective maintenance and operational best practices.
- Analyze electricity, gas, and water consumption to develop energy‑saving and efficiency initiatives.
- Ensure proper measurement, billing, and control of energy resources.
- Administer CAPEX and OPEX projects in alignment with financial guidelines and agreed timelines.
- Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring performance, quality, and contractual compliance.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, energy, safety, and infrastructure regulations, as well as internal and external audits.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience leading Utilities, Facilities, or Maintenance operations in an industrial environment.
- Strong knowledge of energy systems, steam, compressors, HVAC, water systems, and waste treatment.
- Experience managing CAPEX and OPEX projects with a solid financial understanding.
- Proven ability to manage suppliers, contracts, and audits.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, energy, and regulatory compliance standards.
- Ability to lead technical teams and promote a culture focused on safety and high performance.
- Analytical skills to interpret energy consumption, performance indicators, and improvement opportunities.
