The intern works in a fast-paced and competitive commercial environment where priorities can change quickly, deadlines are tight and accurate information is required to support timely business decisions. Success in the role requires strong organisation, attention to detail, responsiveness, curiosity and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and organise basic market intelligence, including competitor activity, trade feedback, execution observations and emerging issues that may affect brand visibility, availability or customer engagement.
• Support compliance with company processes by ensuring trade documents, approvals, claims, agency records and activity evidence are complete, properly stored and aligned with required standards.
• Build practical knowledge of trade marketing, route-to-market execution, commercial systems, distributor ways of working and customer engagement through active learning, feedback and participation in team routines.
• Contribute to a disciplined office operating rhythm by keeping files, trackers and follow-up routines organised, current and easy for the wider team to use.
• Support ad hoc project as may be assigned by the line manager.
Scope and Working Environment
The role is office-based and requires close interaction with the Head of Trade, market teams, commercial colleagues, finance, supply chain, procurement and external agency partners. The intern will not have direct reports but is expected to manage personal workload effectively, keep commitments visible and maintain a strong follow-up rhythm. The environment requires speed, accuracy and sound judgement, particularly when handling market updates, urgent requests, competing deadlines and sensitive commercial information.
Expected Ways of Working
• Plan daily work, prioritise urgent tasks and communicate early when support, clarification or escalation is required.
• Use data carefully, check details before sharing updates and maintain confidentiality when handling commercial information.

• Provides timely support to the Trade team, especially where priorities change quickly or urgent market information is required.
• Builds effective working relationships with internal teams, agency partners and market contacts through clear, professional and responsive communication.
• Shows curiosity, creativity and commercial awareness by monitoring market updates, competitor activity and trade execution learnings.
