BAT REUNION IS LOOKING FOR AN ASSISTANT CORPORATE FINANCE MANAGER TO JOIN OUR TEAM IN REUNION
SENIORITY LEVEL: Junior Management

REPORTS TO: IOI Finance Corporate Manager
REPORTING LEVEL: 2 direct reports
ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The Assistant Corporate Finance Manager has overall responsibility for the finance function in BAT Reunion.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
• Review of financial statements for completeness and accuracy
• Provide variance analysis on financials, including insights on commercial business drivers and opportunities for improvement.
• Review all account reconciliations and ensure prompt resolution of issues arising.
• Monitoring of key performance indicators as per the controls excellence dashboard and implement remedial measures where necessary
• Prepare and/or review all tax computations, as well as management of any matters related to tax, ensuring compliance with relevant laws
• To have an overview of the pricing structure that impact the financials.
• Ensure financial reporting is in line with applicable local laws and BAT Group reporting guidelines.
• Review cash flow forecasts and flag any risks or opportunities.
• Perform regular review of payment terms for new and existing customers and manage the provision of credit insurance as needed
• Implement effective control measures for inventory and other assets management
• Review payroll for completeness, accuracy, and compliance to local laws
• To assist Line manager in various business projects that impact Finance.
• Provide leadership to the finance and team in market
• Manage third party service providers as appropriate (Conexia, KPMG, Customs, FTA, Run Transit)
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Degree in Finance/Accounting and at least 5 years’ experience in a similar position
• Thorough understanding of French accounting standards required, working knowledge of IFRS would be added advantage
• Working knowledge of SAP systems and processes would represent an added advantage
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Intermediate level of English
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to manage relationships internally and externally
• Good influencing skills with ability to interact with all levels of management
• Ability to work in a challenging and fast paced environment, under tight timelines and with minimal supervision
