British American Tobacco Hellas has an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planning Manager in Athens.
We’re looking for a new colleague to join our ambitious and dynamic team as Demand Planning Manager – GMCI (Greece, Malta, Cyprus, and Israel).
In this role, you will own the demand planning process for the GMCI region, delivering accurate and actionable forecasts that turn market insights and business drivers into strategic decisions. You will lead a high-performing team of 5, collaborating closely with sales, marketing, and supply chain to identify risks, uncover opportunities, and optimize performance.
You will also monitor industry trends, market share, and volume performance, ensuring GMCI leadership teams have the insights they need to drive growth and make informed decisions. By championing process simplification and continuous improvement, you will enhance forecast accuracy and efficiency, making a direct impact on the organization’s strategic planning and execution.
This is a unique opportunity to be the central source of insights and strategic guidance for the GMCI region, driving growth and supporting key business decisions across multiple markets.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Lead the demand planning process for GMCI markets, presenting BAT sales forecasts and performance insights to key forums.
- Develop robust forecasts for assigned categories, incorporating market trends, volume projections, commercial initiatives, and regulatory impacts.
- Track performance vs targets, highlighting key variances and drivers to ensure informed decision-making.
- Improve forecast accuracy through continuous analysis and process enhancement, reducing write-offs and minimizing out-of-stock risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Trade, Marketing, Activation, Supply Chain) to ensure forecasts reflect the latest market insights.
- Provide timely performance reporting to senior management, ensuring visibility across markets and the GMCI cluster.
- Support execution of business planning processes by translating frameworks into clear, actionable steps for the GMCI region.
- Enhance forecasting and planning processes, embedding continuous improvement and best practices across the assigned scope.
What are we looking for?
- Strong expertise in market analytics and business intelligence, able to interpret complex data and turn insights into actionable recommendations.
- Proven leadership and people management skills, fostering a high-performing team and developing talent.
- Advanced proficiency in forecasting, data analysis, and relevant systems (ERP, CRM, EDI, BI platforms, Power BI, Nielsen).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across functions.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, dissecting complex issues and delivering data-driven solutions.
- Experience working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, demonstrating integrity, professionalism, and sound judgment.
- Strong commercial awareness with a degree-level education and relevant experience.
