British American Tobacco Bangladesh has an exciting opportunity for a Security Officer- Savar
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Oversee and monitor the performance of security service providers, systems, and procedures in alignment with the Factory Security Plan.
- Identify, assess, and report potential security breaches, criminal threats, and SoBC violations, advising on appropriate corrective actions.
- Ensure effective factory access control and compliance with security standards through proper system management and contractor oversight.
- Support investigations of security incidents within the factory and recommend preventive measures to mitigate future risks.
- Maintain and ensure proper functioning of all physical and technical security systems, including enforcing maintenance standards.
- Provide regular reports and insights to the Operations Security Manager on security performance, compliance gaps, and incident trends.
- Support risk assessments, training and awareness programmes, and internal compliance exercises (e.g., clear desk reviews) for factory operations.
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 5 years of security management experience within Police, Military, or private security sectors, with exposure to external agencies and frameworks.
- Proven ability to manage third-party vendors and security service providers, including oversight of contracts and performance.
- Strong understanding of security risk management, incident response, and compliance with corporate security standards and SoBC.
- Capability to assess security environments, implement risk mitigation measures, and support investigations with actionable insights.
- Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, build trust, and collaborate across functions and external partners.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise reports and present security risks.
- Awareness of emerging security technologies and a proactive mindset to drive continuous improvement and cost-effective security solutions.
