CONTRACT: Full-time Internship – 6 months (with potential extension to 12 months)

Looking to kick-start your career in Finance within a fast-paced FMCG environment?
Join BAT’s UK&I Corporate Finance Team and gain hands-on experience at the heart of our financial operations. This internship offers real exposure to core finance processes, stakeholder management, and business impact — all while working alongside experienced professionals who will support your development every step of the way.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support invoice processing to ensure accurate and timely vendor payments
- Assist with Purchase Order (PO) management, tracking and resolving discrepancies
- Help process payment runs and respond to payment-related queries
- Perform basic reconciliations across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
- Contribute to account clearing and financial accuracy activities
- Maintain and update vendor and customer master data in line with internal controls
- Support month-end processes and continuous improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with cross-functional finance teams across UK & Ireland
What are we looking for?
- Just graduated or currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Strong Excel skills and confidence working with data
- Good understanding of basic financial concepts and commercial KPIs
- Clear communicator with strong written and verbal skills
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
- Confident presenting ideas and insights to different audiences
- Curious, adaptable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
