We’re looking for a new colleague to join our motivated and dynamic Marketing Insights team, with a passion for turning data into clear, impactful consumer insights that drive better marketing decisions. This is a unique opportunity to be the voice of the consumer in a fast-evolving category, transforming complex data into meaningful insights that shape marketing strategy and execution.
You’ll help build and evolve consumer journey frameworks to identify opportunities, challenges, and unmet needs across nicotine categories. By tracking category dynamics, brand performance, and competitive activity, you’ll bring clarity to what drives growth and where the next opportunities lie.
You’ll also contribute to BAT Western Europe’s insights agenda by connecting regional market learnings with global teams and broader strategic priorities.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Generate, condense and support the delivery of comprehensive, forward-looking and actionable consumer insights across combustible and non-combustible categories and Western Europe end markets to shape short-, mid- and long-term marketing and corporate strategies and plans; enabling effective strategic, operational and tactical business decisions
- Aggregate and synthesize multiple data sources and research outputs into meaningful, actionable insights, translating them into clear narratives and impactful recommendations for the business
- Define relevant growth opportunities and target consumer segments through robust market segmentation to support portfolio and brand strategy development across categories
- Drive and embed a strong consumer-centric mindset across the Western Europe organization
- Partner with Western Europe Marketing leadership to discuss insights, translate findings into strategic implications, and support decision-making
- Lead ad hoc deep-dive analyses to answer key business questions and address emerging challenges
- Prepare category performance reviews and consumer deep-dive presentations for local markets, ensuring clear storytelling and business relevance
- Manage relationships with research and analytics agencies, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with business needs, priorities, and BAT standards
What are we looking for?
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Marketing roles (strong preference for Insights) within a multinational FMCG company or a research agency
- Strong expertise in consumer and market research methodologies, both quantitative and qualitative, including behavioral insights and modern AI-driven research tools
- Deep understanding of consumer needs, attitudes and behaviors combined with strong commercial acumen and holistic business understanding
- Proven experience in translating complex data and research outputs into clear, actionable insights and business opportunities that drive decision-making
- Strong analytical, conceptual, and strategic thinking skills with the ability to simplify complex and sometimes conflicting information into clear conclusions
- Experience managing and steering external agencies and third-party partners effectively
- Excellent communication, presentation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and align senior decision-makers
- University degree (Master+) with focus on Marketing and/or Statistics, with additional experience in consumer analytics, advanced digital analytics, or brand marketing as a plus
