British American Tobacco Zambia has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Manager: Operations Finance in Lusaka
The role is responsible for end-to-end financial management of operations, including planning, reporting, cost control, and performance improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Partner with manufacturing teams to achieve cost reduction targets
Support business decision-making through: Financial modelling, scenario analysis, Cost-benefit evaluations
Lead and/or support the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning cycles
Perform balance sheet reconciliations and account review
Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure timely resolution of findings
Evaluate and monitor CAPEX investments and business cases
Support development of finance capability across operations teams
What are we looking for?
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline
Professional certification (ACA, ACCA, CPA) – mandatory
Member of Zambia Institute of Accountancy (ZICA)
Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA) certification for both Grade 12 and Professional/Academic Qualification
Minimum 5 Years in the field
Experience in FMCG or manufacturing environment is preferred
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment
Proactive, results-driven, and solution-oriented
Advanced Excel and ERP systems knowledge (preferably SAP)
Strong Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) capability
