British American Tobacco Bulgariahas an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Finance Executive in Sofia
Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Financial Planning Reporting & Forecasting
- Support the preparation of monthly forecasts, annual budgets, and strategic plans.
- Coordinate planning cycles and ensure timely submission of financial data.
- Consolidate financial information and maintain forecast accuracy.
- Analyse financial performance and explain variances versus plan, forecast, and prior year.
- Prepare management reports, dashboards, and executive presentations.
- Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities impacting business performance.
- Partner with functions such as Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, HR, and Procurement.
- Act as a trusted finance partner for stakeholders.
2. Month-End Close & Financial Control
- Support month-end closing activities and financial reporting processes.
- Ensure financial data accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies.
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Assist in maintaining a strong control environment.
3. Compliance & Governance
- Ensure adherence to BAT policies, IFRS, and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audits.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks.
What are we looking for
- Bachelor / master’s degree in Finance or Economics
- Experience on a similar position will be considered as an advantage
- Strong financial and analytical skills
- Advanced Excel and data analysis
- SAP/BPC experience is a plus
- Financial modelling and forecasting
- Stakeholder management
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Team player who builds strong relationships, shares knowledge, and collaborates effectively to achieve common goals
- Fluency in English and Bulgarian is a must
