Role summary
What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?
- This role is a part of Global Customer Fulfilment Extended Leadership Team acting as Warehouse Product Owner in the Customer Fulfilment Centre of Excellence (CF COE).
- Lead Connecting Warehouse Initiative Globally, promoting Lighthouse and accelerate reapplication of CBAs, providing the required process capabilities & standards, sharing benchmarks/toolkits and supporting the DRBUs to foster re-application with the strive to deliver world class service and optimise cost and cash and ensure compliance to regulations and guidelines.
- Develop topics like Multi-market Analytics for Warehouse including operational and commercial aspects to support negotiations, develop a Resilience Metric, map Emerging Technologies, promote #innovation through #besupplier, drive Compliance, Warehouse Academy
What is the direct impact of this role on the team or organization?
Strategic and Operational Scope: Primary Warehouse spend in BAT is about £200mn, this role will demonstrate our process, our capabilities, and operational standards to “drive high performance and resilience through our talent and digital technologies”.
Budget Management: ~£90mn Total Spend influence ~£205mn.

Accountabilities
- Govern the Groups Primary Supply Warehouse spend and savings delivery, including annual TGT setting to achieve optimized COGs
- Accountable for the Global Warehouse Product strategic deployment next 1-3 Years, including processes, capability, global technology enablement selection
- Provide leadership for Warehousing crafting and maintaining a strong partner network with local and DRBU Supply Chain managers & lead the indirect community within the geography.
- Develop and maintain Warehousing capabilities, toolkits, DMS, & digital platforms ensuring they are applied, relevant and drive Improvement Plans to ensure a “Fit for Growth” Supply Chain build cross category.
- Own and deliver change projects to improve the efficiency and / or effectiveness of BAT logistics operations.
- Maintain excellent links with other functions to align and integrate the business & improvement requirements; specifically working with the Regional Operations Manages, Operations Directors, Local Supply Chain Managers, SNO Planning hubs to ensure that Customer Fulfilment supports & delivers against the Regional / Local business requirements
- Ensure the Customer fulfilment operations linked to Warehousing are accurately coordinated into the end-to-end supply chain towards the BAT Ultimate Control Tower direction driving Dynamic Fulfilment node in UCT.
- Support ESG solutions, together with the SC Dev teams and Sustainability Product within fulfilment space to reduce CO2 emissions, increase waste recycling and support circular economy.
- Demonstrate our Warehouse Platform globally, with Multi-market Analytics, Intelligence, Resilience, Compliance, Learning and Emerging Technologies in Warehouse.
Experience, skills, knowledge
ESSENTIAL
Experience Required
- In-depth knowledge of Warehouse rigor including crucial experience in a Local Supply Chain execution role.
- Knowledge of Core Supply Chain processes, from Planning (Demand & Supply), Logistics, Manufacturing & NPI.
- Strong proven experience and knowledge within Logistics
- Knowledge and exposure to IWS
- Previous experience of IWS
- Experience and awareness of TPD & Track & Trace solutions
- Contract leadership skills with experience working in this environment an advantage
- Knowledge of TaO template an advantage
- Strong project management experience, track record of successful organisational change delivery

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required
- University degree or equivalent experience (Supply Chain related major could be an advantage)
