Role Summary
The Employer Branding Specialist will help bring BAT Japan's Employer Value Proposition (EVP) to life through impactful digital employer branding, talent marketing, content creation, and employee advocacy initiatives. This role plays a key part in strengthening BAT Japan's employer brand and attracting diverse, high-quality talent through authentic, culturally relevant storytelling.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute BAT Japan's employer branding content calendar across LinkedIn and other relevant digital platforms.
- Create engaging bilingual (Japanese and English) content, including employee stories, articles, videos, and social media posts.
- Drive employee advocacy initiatives and encourage employee participation in social media engagement programs.
- Support targeted talent marketing campaigns for priority talent segments.
- Monitor campaign performance and provide recommendations to optimize content and engagement.
- Develop and maintain employer branding assets, templates, and materials aligned with BAT's EVP.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment across employer branding activities.
- Ensure all content reflects local market insights, Japanese cultural nuances, and BAT's global employer brand standards.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Experience in employer branding, social media content creation, digital communications, marketing, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Japanese and English.
- Strong understanding of Japanese culture, market trends, and communication preferences.
- Experience creating content for LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
- Experience managing content calendars, digital campaigns, and performance reporting.
Nice to Have
- Experience using Canva, video editing software, or similar content creation tools.
- Understanding of social media analytics and digital marketing performance metrics.
- Previous experience supporting talent attraction, recruitment marketing, or employee advocacy programs.
Please note: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract position based in Tokyo, Japan.
