We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate brand leader who possesses brand equity experience and commercial acumen to join our marketing team. The Senior Brand Manager for Newport is a strategic execution role for Reynolds American (RAI) focused on ensuring the achievement of brand and commercial objectives. This role will be responsible for leading and executing a defined portion of the Newport brand marketing strategy to build the profile, image, awareness, and credibility of Newport, resulting in increased consideration and loyalty amongst Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATCs). The Sr. Brand Manager must garner and leverage US ATC insights to ensure all initiatives are meaningful to ATCs in a way that drives brand affinity and loyalty. This role also requires a high level of engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners on go-to-market strategies to ensure brand objectives are met.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and execute integrated marketing programs aligned with brand strategy across Newport D2C platforms, including rewards, digital activation, retail strategy, equity campaigns, and consumer experience initiatives.
- Support the evolution of brand equity and creative platforms by leveraging consumer insights and learnings to enhance marketing programs and experiences.
- Champion the consumer perspective across all workstreams, ensuring marketing initiatives resonate with target Adult Tobacco Consumers (ATCs) and support brand objectives.
- Contribute to operational planning and brand performance, supporting the delivery of programs that achieve both qualitative and quantitative business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, including agencies, Consumer Experience, Finance, Growth Management, Trade Marketing, Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Legal, and External Relations to execute brand plans and meet KPIs.
- Bring the brand to life across marketing and distribution channels while managing, executing, and measuring the performance of new initiatives.
- Serve as a brand steward, ensuring consistent execution against brand standards, gaining alignment for new ideas and strategic shifts, and leading organizational change when appropriate.
- Drive stakeholder engagement and governance, presenting brand plans in key business forums and ensuring all marketing initiatives comply with corporate strategy and regulatory requirements.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree required with 5+ years of relevant consumer marketing experience, preferably within consumer packaged goods (CPG) environments.
- Proven experience developing and executing 360° integrated marketing programs, with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives from strategy through deployment.
- Strong consumer-centric mindset, with a track record of leveraging consumer insights to create and execute programs that support brand objectives and influence consumer behavior.
- Passion for brand building and brand expression development, combined with a deep understanding of marketing’s role in driving business performance.
- Strong analytical and commercial acumen, with the ability to interpret data, assess opportunities, and make informed business decisions.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and deliver against key milestones.
- Agency management experience, including overseeing creative development from briefing through commercialization and execution.
- Exceptional communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to solve problems, create impactful presentations, manage stakeholder expectations, and collaborate effectively across functions.
