We are looking for a dynamic, creative, and passionate brand leader who possesses strong commercial acumen and passion forbrand equity to join our marketing team. The Senior Brand Manager for Velo is a strategic role for Reynolds American (RAI) that works to ensure that the brand ethos and commercial objectives are met. This role will be responsible for leading and executing a defined portion of the Velo brand product portfolio and marketing strategy to build the profile, image, awareness, accessibility, and credibility of Velo, resulting in increased consideration, trial, and loyalty with Adult Nicotine Consumers (ANCs). The Sr. Brand Manager must garner and leverage US ANC insights to build strong plans and drive share to accelerate brand growth. This role also requires a high level of engagement and collaboration with cross-functional teams and external partners on go-to-market strategies to ensure sustainable growth.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Development and creation of commercial plans tailored to address the consumer missions (ANC Migration, Competitive Conquest, and Loyalty)
- Drive and deliver sustainable brand performance (Grow the consumer base, drive revenue, win share and maximize profit)
- Lead campaign architecture by defining audience, messaging (RTBs), and channel strategy.
- Assist in the development and ongoing evolution of brand equity programs and creative platforms
- Manage, drive, execute and measure performance of new product launches (Business Cases, Performance tracking, and action plans)
- Support operational plan development to drive brand goals that resonate with brand’s Adult Nicotine Consumers (ANCs)
- Ensure corporate strategy and regulatory guidelines are managed and met across all marketing initiatives
- Support in the development of the long-term product portfolio pipeline.
- Lead the delivery of consumer research to address brand needs and enables decision making
- Lead state and customer-level analyses and translate insights into executable commercial plans
- Collaborate and inspire team members to achieve the brand objectives/KPIs
- Collaborate with a broad, cross-functional team: Digital Marketing and Activation, Finance, Revenue Growth Management, Trade Marketing, Operations, RS&D, Legal, & External Relations to execute the plan and achieve brand objectives/KPIs
- Serve as a brand steward across the cross functional teams
- Gain support for new ideas, strategy shifts and lead change throughout the organization where/when appropriate
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 5 + years relevant corporate marketing experience in CPG
- Prior brand marketing experience in CPG category
- Understanding of pricing dynamics in CPG categories
- Strong analytical capabilities and commercial acumen
- Excellent project management skills
- Ability to write clear briefs to commercialization
- Demonstrated leadership and ambition in driving success of impactful corporate goals
- Ability to deal with ambiguity while progressing to achieve key milestones
- Functional Area expertise and working understanding of the marketing process
- Excellent communication, problem-solving & influencing skills, including personal presentation, emails and building presentation
