The Cloud Architect for Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure is responsible for crafting reliable, adaptable, and fault-tolerant cloud architectures. These architectures support the company’s digital and enterprise platforms. This role collaborates alongside engineering, security, and application teams to define cloud strategies.   It establishes technical standards and ensures solutions in AWS and Azure follow security, compliance, and operational guidelines.   The architect provides mentorship on cloud governance, landing zones, identity and access controls, network and security architectures, and modernization initiatives, while staying ahead of new technologies and threats to continually strengthen the organization’s cloud posture.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Build and detail robust, expandable, and fault-tolerant AWS and Azure architectures; develop landing zones aligned with security, compliance, and operational requirements.  
• Define and implement cloud strategies, technical standards, and procedures for cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and governance.
• Collaborate with engineering, security, and application groups to integrate cloud solutions with existing infrastructure and processes.  
• Establish and implement IAM controls, network segmentation, protective system builds, and alignment to SOX, ISO, NIST, GDPR, and organizational protocols.    
• Provide technical leadership on cloud governance, cost optimization, resource management, and evaluation of emerging cloud technologies, tools, and services.
• Lead or support incident response, vulnerability management, risk assessments, and audit readiness, ensuring evidence of control completeness mapped to NIST/CIS and internal standards.
• Deliver cloud architectures that are durable, adaptable, and compliant. Ensure projects are finished on time and within budget. Encourage adoption of standardized landing zones and technical standards across Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.  
• Reduce cloud security risks and incidents through proactive invent and governance, while improving cloud posture, operational efficiency, and collaborator happiness through effective support and information exchange.  

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience
• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CISSP, CCSP) are advantageous. 
• Having demonstrated experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or operations, with a focus on AWS and Azure. 
• Demonstrable experience crafting and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.  
• Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation), automation, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Proven understanding of cloud control frameworks, foundational environments, IAM, infrastructure and security builds, and compliance frameworks.    
• Familiarity with cloud-native security tools (e.g., AWS Security Hub, Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and collaborator leadership skills.
