British American Tobacco Romaniahas an exciting opportunity for a Master Data Vendors Fraud & Control Analyst in Bucharest
The Master Data Vendors Fraud & Control Analyst verifies and secures the accuracy and validity of the Master Data for Vendors bank and contacts in SAP database. Knowledge of the SAP application is required so that all Master Data amendments and supplementations are in compliance with procedures and authorizations, at the same time maintaining system integrity applying the 4-Eyes principle.
The holder of this position shall report directly to the Team Leader. The team is part of the Data management department within British American Shared Service. The holder of this position shall be in charge with delivering the highest quality services at the requested level while aligning with the internal regulation and Master Data (MD) process.
Professional performance of the employee shall be assessed on a yearly basis according to trimestral/annual individual targets, using the assessment criteria and procedures in the company’s policy.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform preventive controls for external vendor and intercompany master data to mitigate fraud and operational risk and identify control gaps or data quality issues and propose remediation actions and maintain 100% accuracy of multiple Data Objects in line with all SOX and non-SOX Controls;
- Validate and approve changes to sensitive master data fields, including: Bank account details (IBAN, SWIFT, country, bank address) and Vendor contact details (address, e-mail, phone);
- Ensure service levels and targets are consistent with quality and timeliness, and that service is delivered in accordance with agreed TAT;
- Maintaining robust data management policies, procedures and processes, and a robust control environment and ensure that are in accordance with the internal and external audit requirements;
- Advance potential fraud risks to management and compliance teams.
What are we looking for?
- The holder of this position must have IT and solid understanding of Microsoft Office standard pack (Excel, Word, Access, Power Point, etc) and good command of English;
- Solid understanding of Master Data internal and global (GPS) procedures and 1-5 years of experience in master data management, data analysis, data quality control or similar role;
- Highly analytical, positive, and prioritized professional with a proven ability to manage time, handle challenges and deadlines, and deliver accurate results;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate and liaise collaborate closely with superiors at all levels and departments, both inside and outside the group Seek out and adopt change, adapting quickly and effectively to new situations and challenges;
- Good understanding of the control environment within GBS & across the business.
*Please note that this is a temporary role with a contract duration until March 1, 2028.
