ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
We are looking to recruit a Projects Engineer (Assistant Manager) for our Operations Team.
This role is responsible to lead the planning and execution of technical projects related to new equipment installation, infrastructure improvement, or modification of the existing ones to fulfill the requirements of the production departments while upholding BAT standards for quality & EHS.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Ensure all Capex projects are planned, driven, and completed within specified budgets, timelines, and as per company policies.
- Maintain a continuous focus on EH&S standards and ensure all projects conform to regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external suppliers, machine manufacturers, and internal departments to ensure successful project delivery.
- BAT Project Management methodology and Initiative Management techniques to ensure projects are executed efficiently and detailed accurately.
- Act as the backup pillar lead for IM management pillar under the IWS framework and Ensure IM pillar readiness and necessary requirements are full filled for IWS phase 2 certification.
- Collaborate with production and other partners to optimize prioritization, manage Capex expenditure within budget, and provide necessary documentation for project approval.
- Foster a culture of openness and continuous improvement within the team, ensuring proper training, succession planning, and regular performance reviews.
- Work closely with local Operations, Procurement, and other business partners to ensure projects align with company policies and strategies.
- Promote continuous improvement, share knowledge across functions, and implement best practices to enhance project outcomes and speed-to-market

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- BSc in Engineering or any other equivalent qualification
- 2-3 Years experience in projects management/engineering in manufacturing environment
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Outstanding communication skills, strong interpersonal, team building and negotiation skills
- Energetic, resilient, self-motivated, result-driven, highly adaptable, and able to work independently
- Effective Partner Engagement with internal and external partners.
