BAT VIETNAM IS LOOKING FOR FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING & INTERNAL CONTROL MANAGER
SENIORITY LEVEL: Management Level

LOCATION: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
DURATION: 12 months
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
To ensure robust financial accounting processes and internal controls are in place, supporting compliance, audit readiness, and operational excellence. This role will lead control health checks, policy governance, and system testing to safeguard financial integrity and optimize business performance.
Control Healthcheck & Audit Readiness
- Support control healthcheck program and ensure timely delivery of all audit milestones.
- Support cross-functional reviews of Control Navigator, Risk Register, and GOM Level 2 processes.
- Oversee policy compliance assessments, gap analysis, and remediation planning.
- Drive risk & controls culture assessment, including management interviews and reporting.
- Ensure audit evidence is complete, accurate, and accessible (meeting minutes, system reports, memos).
- Prepare and present audit reports and management comments to leadership.
Financial Process & Policy Management
- Develop and maintain financial processes, procedures, and policies (e.g., payment, revenue recognition, stock return).
- Ensure alignment with Group standards and local regulatory requirements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in financial governance.
System Testing & Compliance
- Define scope and scenarios for system testing of SAP modules (stock, purchase, sales, COGS).
- Conduct system tests for invoicing processes (VNPT, SAP) to ensure VAT invoices match delivery records and warehouse documentation.
- Validate system controls and ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Coordinate with Finance, Legal, HR, OPS, IT, CORA, and Marketing SPOCs for audit deliverables.
- Act as a key contributor to projects and ad hoc initiatives related to financial controls and compliance.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting, internal controls, or audit within a multinational FMCG or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk management, and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in SAP, and advanced Excel.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
