British American Tobacco DBS has an exciting opportunity for a Cloud & Network Intern in Selangor, Malaysia

This role will support the team by providing data-driven insights, operational transparency, and fresh perspectives, particularly in the areas of service performance, cost awareness, AI adoption, and team engagement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Analyze incident, ticket, and operational data to identify patterns, root causes, and improvement opportunities, supported by basic dashboards and visual insights.
• Review cloud and network cost data to detect usage trends, anomalies, and data quality gaps, and prepare cost insight summaries for stakeholders.
• Explore AI tools, propose practical use cases, build small AI-driven prototypes or automations, and maintain an AI/data use‑case backlog.
• Coordinate and support internal knowledge‑sharing sessions, manage logistics and materials, promote participation, and present learning topics when relevant.
• Maintain and update the COE SharePoint website with validated content such as achievements, SOPs, dashboards, and regular communications.

What are we looking for?

• Education Background – Undergraduate (final‑year or fresh graduate) in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Information Systems, or related fields.
• Strong problem‑solving skills with comfort in data analysis using Excel; Power BI, Python, or SQL as added strengths.
• Basic understanding of cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), networking fundamentals, and familiarity or interest in AI tools, automation, RPA, or scripting.
• Clear written and verbal communication, ability to explain concepts simply, and confidence in presenting ideas to small groups.
• Personal Attributes – Proactive, curious, adaptable, accountable, collaborative, open to feedback, and eager to learn, experiment, and improve continuously.
