We are looking for an experienced Training & Awareness Lead to design, implement, and manage BAT’s Cyber Training & Awareness programme. This role is responsible for strengthening digital governance awareness and building the right cyber security behaviours and competencies across the organisation. This role is critical to strengthening BAT’s first line accountability by embedding cyber-aware behaviours across all employees and functions. The role will ensure structured delivery of core, persona-based, and activity-based training, alongside global awareness initiatives and campaigns to improve cyber resilience across BAT.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Define and implement the global cyber training & awareness strategy aligned to IDT Digital Governance & Compliance priorities
- Define, manage, and implement the global Cyber Training & Awareness strategy and programme aligned to IDT Digital Governance & Compliance priorities.
- Design, deliver, and manage the full e-learning lifecycle for core, role-based, persona-based, and activity-based cyber training programmes across the organisation.
- Ensure all training content aligns with current cyber policies, standards, technical realities, and organisational capabilities.
- Drive training adoption, completion, and efficiency through structured tracking, reporting, insights, and addressing blocking issues via global, regional, and business collaborators.
- Lead global cyber awareness campaigns, microlearning initiatives, and internal communications to embed secure behaviour across the organisation.
- Define, roll out, own, and manage the phishing simulation programme end-to-end to assess and improve user awareness and behaviour.
- Collaborate across Cyber, IT, HR, Communications, and business functions to drive continuous improvement in cyber awareness and user behaviour. Manage external vendors and budgets for cyber training and awareness activities.
What are we looking for?
- 8+ years in Cyber Security, Training & Awareness, or GRC-related roles, with experience in global organisation and large-scale change initiatives.
- Familiarity with cyber risk, compliance, and digital governance principles.
- Experience designing, delivering, and managing the lifecycle of enterprise-wide training, awareness, and e-learning programmes.
- Experience with cyber awareness platforms, phishing simulation tools, learning platforms (e.g., SuccessFactors), and e-learning tools.
- Experience with reporting, dashboards, and supervising training completion and effectiveness.
- Strong collaborator management across global and cross-functional teams, with excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Strong programme management and delivery skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and priorities simultaneously.
- Degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience, with relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC). Ability to translate complex cyber concepts into simple, practical mentorship.
