ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES
The D&A Regional Manager is responsible for driving the delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement of Data & Analytics products and capabilities across the APMEA region. The role acts as a bridge between business stakeholders, market teams, regional functions, and global D&A teams to ensure data-driven decision-making, successful product implementation, and realization of business value.
The position leads regional analytics initiatives, oversees project execution, manages stakeholder engagement, and ensures alignment with enterprise data, governance, and technology strategies.
WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR
- Lead end-to-end delivery of regional Data & Analytics products and initiatives across APMEA markets.
- Define product roadmaps, business requirements, milestones, implementation plans, and success measures.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams including Business Analysts, Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Solution Architects, product owners, and market stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact between regional business functions, markets, and global D&A teams.
- Facilitate alignment across commercial, operations, finance, digital, IDT, and technology stakeholders.
- Translate business challenges into data-driven solutions and analytics opportunities.
- Support markets in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing high-value use cases.
- Drive adoption of analytics products through communication, business enablement, demonstrations, training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure adherence to BAT data governance, security, compliance, and access management standards.
- Promote data quality, consistency, standardization, and reusability across regional initiatives.
- Manage risks, dependencies, delivery impediments, and resource assumptions to ensure timely execution.
- Track business value, benefits realization, user adoption, and product performance across the region.

- Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support project teams and regional squads.
- Foster collaboration, accountability, ownership, and continuous improvement across delivery teams.
- Build D&A capability by promoting best practices in analytics, visualization, automation, AI, data governance, and product management.
- Communicate progress, risks, dependencies, business impact, and decisions clearly to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
- 7+ years of experience in Data & Analytics, Business Intelligence, Digital Transformation, Product Ownership, or related areas.
- Experience managing regional or global analytics programs in complex, matrixed, multinational environments.
- Strong understanding of data platforms, BI tools, cloud technologies, analytics frameworks, and data governance principles.
- Ability to translate business objectives into product roadmaps, analytics use cases, and delivery plans.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive communication, facilitation, and influencing skills.
- Practical experience with data visualization, storytelling, performance measurement, adoption tracking, and value realization.
- Strong project/program management capability, including milestone tracking, risk management, prioritization, and dependency management.
- Fluent English communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders across markets and functions.
