We are looking for a highly motivated, commercially minded and analytically strong team player to join our Key Account Management team for our administrative office in Lausanne.
You will manage a portfolio of strategic customers, including large nicotine retail accounts in Switzerland, and play a key role in implementing BAT’s Customer Management strategy.
Your ambition will be to drive sustainable market share, volume and profitability growth across our nicotine categories, while strengthening customer engagement and identifying new commercial opportunities.
As part of BAT’s multi-category approach, you will be at the centre of developing and implementing customer strategies that create value for both BAT and our retail partners.
Main accountabilities:
- Identify and develop new business opportunities across your portfolio of strategic accounts
- Own and monitor sales performance, translating insights into clear commercial actions
- Drive profitability, volume and BAT market share within assigned customers
- Build strong customer partnerships and accelerate engagement behind BAT’s multi-category approach
- Develop new commercial opportunities leveraging customer CRM, loyalty programmes and digital/app ecosystems
- Lead promotional, commercial and sales planning across brands and customers
- Prepare and lead customer negotiations, ensuring strong commercial outcomes and sustainable partnerships
- Drive strategic cross-functional projects that unlock new business opportunities and challenge the status quo
- Translate market, customer and performance data into clear recommendations and actionable plans
ABOUT YOU:
Essential requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Business, Economics or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in FMCG Sales, Key Account Management or Trade Marketing
- Fluent in German and English, with professional working proficiency in French
- Strong ownership mindset with the ability to drive results and manage priorities independently
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication, negotiation and planning skills
- Proven ability to successfully negotiate and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex commercial topics clearly
- Ability to analyse business challenges, recommend solutions and translate them into actionable plans
- Strong attention to detail combined with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; knowledge of Tableau and Salesforce is an advantage
