ROLE SUMMARY
This role is responsible for ensuring optimal product availability through effective supply planning, inventory management, and coordination with regional and global teams.
The position supports business continuity by balancing service levels, cost efficiency, and operational agility in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supply & Inventory Planning
- Develop and maintain rolling supply plans aligned with demand forecasts and production schedules
- Ensure optimal inventory levels to achieve high service levels while minimizing excess stock and write-offs
- Monitor supply risks and implement mitigation plans
- Proactively manage replenishment cycles and address potential shortages
Cross-functional Coordination
- Collaborate with regional and global supply teams to align production and delivery schedules
- Communicate market requirements and track order fulfillment and shortages
- Support new product introductions by ensuring supply readiness
S&OP Process Support
- Partner with Demand Planning, Marketing, Commercial, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment
- Provide supply updates, risk assessments, and recovery plans during S&OP cycles
- Support execution of promotions, launches, and product phase-outs
Compliance & Continuous Improvement
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate policies
- Support system improvements, automation, and process enhancements
- Contribute to digital transformation initiatives within supply planning
Performance Monitoring
- Track key KPIs including OTIF, inventory days of cover, forecast accuracy, and write-offs
- Support initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and reduce costs

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
- 3–5 years of experience in supply planning, inventory management, or demand planning (FMCG preferred)
- Native/fluent Japanese and business level English
- Strong analytical and Excel skills
- Experience working in multinational environments
- Knowledge of S&OP processes
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred) is a plus
