This role is crucial in advancing our agricultural operations to achieve outstanding results. As a Field Officer, you will play an important part in ensuring the production of high-quality tobacco, working closely with our farming partners.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Register farmers and plan all field activities to achieve the required tobacco volumes, including land selection, preparation, and input supply.
• Guide farmers on correct cultivation techniques, participate in agronomy training, and monitor harvesting to ensure quality and timely leaf collection.
• Coordinate leaf buying according to company procedures, schedule harvesting, distribute bags, and report any farmer disputes or grievances.
• Train and coach farmers and leaf trainees to improve farming practices, technical skills, and overall crop quality.
• Build strong relationships with the farming community to ensure consistent tobacco supply and support BAT Fiji’s business goals.

What are we looking for?

• Diploma or Degree from the Fiji College of Agriculture or a similar recognized institution.
• Minimum of 3 years in a similar role or organization.
• Proficient in computer use and administrative tasks.
• Driving License + Defensive Driving Certificate (DDC).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with farmers and the team.
