ROLE SUMMARY

What are the key objectives and expectations from this role?

Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital procurement platforms, including Source to Pay (S2P), Supplier Management, Contract Lifecycle Management and Process Orchestration and intelligent intake solutions. Drive the adoption of agentic AI to automate, optimize, and personalize procurement workflows, ensuring seamless integration with business needs and improving value delivery.

This role is pivotal in redefining procurement operations, enabling data-driven decision-making, and elevating user experience through sophisticated digital solutions. It will involve the following activities:

  • Serve as the Product Owner for digital procurement processes and platforms.
  • Define, optimise, and continuously improve digital processes and policies.
  • Drive the transformation and adoption of digital Source-to-Contract (S2C) initiatives.
  • Liaise cross-functionally to ensure process excellence and alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain relationships with technology providers and lead all aspects of platform performance.
  • Develop and implement the strategic roadmap for digital procurement solutions.
  • Prioritise initiatives to improve value and drive continuous improvement.

ROLE DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for procurement orchestration and intake platforms, from ideation to deployment and continuous improvement.
  • Build and implement AI-driven workflows that automate and optimize procurement processes, using agentic AI to enable self-service, guided buying, and intelligent approvals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, IT, Finance, Business Units) to collect requirements, define user stories, and ensure solutions align with business objectives.
  • Drive digital adoption and organisational change across the procurement function, ensuring user engagement and improving platform return on investment.
  • Monitor and analyse platform performance using advanced analytics, finding opportunities for further automation, efficiency, and user experience improvements.
  • Stay at the forefront of digital procurement trends, benchmarking against outstanding practices and integrating new technologies (e.g., generative AI, process mining, conversational interfaces).
  • Sustain connections with technology vendors and partners, ensuring delivery of robust, scalable, and secure solutions.
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the procurement digital ecosystem.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE

ESSENTIAL

Experience Required

  • Confirmed experience delivering process optimisation within Source-to-Settle.
  • Demonstrated track record of implementing AI-driven process automation or orchestration solutions.

Technical / Functional / Leadership Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of digital procurement platforms and S2C processes.
  • Hands-on experience with agentic AI, RPA, or intelligent workflow platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, Coupa, Fair Markit, Celonis, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data insights into actionable improvements.
  • Excellent partner management and communication skills, with experience driving digital transformation initiatives.

Education / Qualifications / Certifications Required

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in product management, procurement, or digital transformation (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma, CIPS, etc.).

BENEFICIAL

  • Experience with procurement technology solutions (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba).
  • Experience with generative AI, process mining, or conversational AI in a procurement context.
  • Exposure to global procurement operations and large-scale technology rollouts.
  • Advanced degree or equivalent experience (e.g., MBA, MSc) or specialized training in digital product management.
