Product Manager - Corporate & Legal

Managing delivery lifecycle of the applications under Corporate and Legal within enterprise platforms. Owns the technical integrity of the global analytics solutions including integration into other systems, internally and externally. Ensures that changes deployed are in line with standards. Engages with suppliers to ensure proactive maintenance is carried out. Provides technical advice based on day-to-day operational experience to projects and architecture functions to enhance standards and future solutions. This role ensures that the BAT specific intellectual property is maintained beyond projects

Your key responsibilities will include

• Key focus within the change lifecycle of implementation of changes including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, impact-assessment, presenting to the appropriate governance body for approvals, transitioning and supporting the change post implementation

• Accountable to business systems owners for the end-to-end lifecycle for all global applications within a major functional area (e.g.Corporate Services & Legal)

• Accountable in ensuring changes meet the established processes, governance, and criteria. Responsible for evaluation and approval of the estimates provided by the 3rd party Service provider, ensuring they meet the required standards.  

• Provide input and recommend robust solutions to meet business requirements. Responsible for quality assurance aligning with audits and SOX controls

• Supporting release and deployment management, service transition, and service operations. Support and contribute to increasing CSIP quality/standards and driving towards lean organization and provide technical guidance and issues/cases. 

What are we looking for?

• Educated to degree level or equivalent with minimum 5 years working experience in application & platform within project implementation and/or support organization

• Knowledgeable in Microsoft and SAP with some complete training and experienced throughout the lifecycle, from development through Production Support. Primary skills include application management and proficient integration with other systems

• Experience working in a large international company with both internal and external IT service providers. Demonstrates a proven ability to learn new technologies and adapt to new ways of working.

• Experience of working in a regulated environment, preferably SOx and GDPR, or in a country with high standards of data protection
• Have working experience in areas of business requirement gathering, fit-gap analysis, designing solutions, implementing feasible solutions, conducting tests (FUT, SIT, UAT, RT), data conversion and supporting the solution

• Have good engagement and communication skills and can work with collaborators from all levels and globally. Good analytical and negotiation skills for conflict resolution, collaborator management, costing discussion, and vendor management along with good command of English, both oral and written

• Experience in large global organisation using in-sourced and out-sourced IT services and a good working knowledge of the management of applications services

• Breadth of knowledge of IT Service Management standard processes (ITIL) and exposure to IT audits would be beneficial. DevSecOps, Agile, SAFe processes and ITIL training certification would be beneficial alongside how it can be applied in a global enterprise organization
