British American TobaccoFiji has an exciting opportunity for a Commercial Finance Manager – Leaf and Operations in Fiji
This role works in partnership with the business to translate strategies into plans and budgets, providing commercial insights relating to future performance. This role also manages and coordinate the provision of structured and insightful analysis of financial and non-financial data to influence and enable strategic financial decisions. Finance business partners will support one or more functions be aligned with one or more functions such as: Operations (including Supply Chain and Factory finance) and the Leaf function.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage and co-ordinates activities to provide beneficial, commercially focussed insights to the business.
- Plans and monitors the execution of strategy through
- Provision of high-quality financial information and advice to business division
- Provision of proactive decision support for informed judgements and value creation, substantially with regards to the operating affairs of the business, especially those relating to Factory and Leaf operations of the business.
- Managing the Farmers Ledger and Leaf transfer Price, including primary delivered product cost.
- Contribute to the development of integrated business strategies in respect of portfolio, leaf and product costing, stock duration management, resource allocations, from a commercial perspective.
- Identifies, implements and reviews effective internal financial planning processes and controls
- Sharing insightful financial analysis showing the financial implications of decisions and helping the business unit get approval for commercially viable business cases, budgets and investment proposals
- Build strong financial and commercial awareness within business units and challenge business managers to improve performance
- Defines and implements standard process planning and control techniques in line with business needs
- Acts as an interface between business units and specialised finance functions as required.

What are we looking for?
- Degree or equivalent experience in Finance and Accounting with professional qualification or progressing towards a professional qualification. (CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/MBA)
- A minimum of 5 years Finance experience
- Experience in dealing with external partners
- Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant finance tools and systems, i.e. SAP/BI/BCP
- Experience in large global organisation with in-depth knowledge in specific FMCG process areas
- Demonstrated strong influencing, leadership, interpersonal skills and positive attitude with high drive to deliver results independently
- Successful experience with strategic analysis & planning and execution, performance measurements, project evaluation and commercial competence
- Ability to simplify complex situations and synthesise, communicate and present complex information
- Insightful, comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty, pro-active, collaborative and consultative
- Thorough understanding of controls and stock management processes
