British American Tobacco Fiji has an exciting opportunity for a Continuous Improvement Lead in Suva
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Lead daily and monthly consultative coaching on Integrated Work Systems (IWS) (daily directional setting, CI) activities, ensuring strong execution, progress tracking, and reapplication across operations.
- Maintain close engagement with plant operations to assess IWS maturity, identify support needs, and drive continuous improvement opportunities.
- Drive capability building by actively participating in critical pilot models, factory-wide implementations, and system development initiatives.
- Lead and participate in pillar governance, including pillar meetings, 1:1 reviews with pillar owners, factory pillar reviews, and DMS reviews.
- Assess and develop organizational capability through pillar team assessments, Operations Leadership Team training on pillar tools, and ongoing coaching.
- Own factory IWS performance management, including audits, dashboards, communications, master plan updates, and Zero Loss Journey alignment.
- Represent the factory within IWS networks by benchmarking best practices, supporting reapplication, and sharing progress with regional leadership.
- Lead strategic IWS planning activities, including master planning, phase assessments, 90-day plans, LoS deployment, loss tree development, and IWS workshops
What are we looking for?
- Degree level in a science, applied science or engineering, preferably with experience in a FMCG background
- Understanding of EHS management principles and supply chain, with working knowledge of SPC, ISO 9000, Six Sigma and CI tools
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with strong influencing, communication, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Practical competence in analysis, problem solving and continual improvement methods and techniques
- Strong People management and coaching skills to develop a high performing team
- Effective resource allocation, prioritisation and management.
- Knowledge of and contacts with external industry supplier base.
- Understanding of facilities and site services in a Manufacturing environment.
